[indian life]인도의 성자들-Sai Baba

내가 살고 있는 집주인이 모시는 신 중에 Sai Baba라는 성인이 있어 탐색해 보았다.

그는 가난한 이들에게 기적을 행사하는 특별한 재주를 가졌다고 한다.
1918년 10월 15일에 죽었고, 태어난 기록은 없다.
카스트의 장벽을 넘어 good deeds 를 전파했던 그의 말을 적어본다.
If you are wealthy, be humble,
Plants bend when they bear fruit.

Spend money to charity;
Be generous and munificent but not extravagant.

Whatever creature comes to you, human or otherwise, treat it with consideration.

See the divine in the human being.

There is a walk of separation between oneself and others and between you and me.
Destroy this wall!

I get angry with none.
Will a mother get angry with her children?
Will the ocean send back the waters to the several rivers?
What is our duty?
To behave properly, That is enough.

God is not far away. He is not in the heaven above., nor in hell below.
He is always near you.

If you cannot endure abuse from another, just say a simple word or two, or else leave.

I stay by the side of whoever repeats my name.

Do not be obsessed by egotism,
Imagining that you are the cause of action; everything is due to God.
Do not fight with anyone, nor retaliate, nor slander anyone.

All gods are one. There is no difference between a hindu and muslim. Mosque and temple are the same.
When you see with your inner eye, then you realize that you are God and not different fro him.

To God be the praise.
I am only the slave of God.

Choose friends who will stick to you till the end, through thick and thin.

Each person is an artist that creates his own personality. His character creates the image that he presents to  others. By your own deeds and thoughts, we can make this image of infinite beauty or we can make it ugly. Before it is too late, let us make good deeds our best friend. Sri Radhakrishna Swamji states, "A man is known by three names. The first is the name given by his parents. Second is what others call him, and third is the name by which is identical in the true record of his life, from birth to death. "
Hence, Sai Baba has a special significance for all of us. I have my place in this world in a certain way because of his grace and i will gladly fulfil it.
